Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and
curse him
that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be
blessed.
There are three parts to this verse. In the first and second
parts are a promise about dealings with Israel, the descendants of
Abraham.
God offers us a choice..... The third part is the
reason--Abraham's
family shall be a source of blessing to all families of the
earth!
Every wonder how? Well, part one is certainly a portion of the
blessing,
but several thousand years later, about 30 AD, the Son of God, born
into
a Jewish family, died on the Roman cross so that you and I might have
the
opportunity to enter into heaven! Thru the family of Abraham a
Savior
(Jesus, a Jew) has come into this sinful world offering salvation to
those
who will believe upon Him and confess Him as Savior before men!
There
is a choice for each of us to make. God has told us which one is
right, and which one earns His blessings, and which one will earn the
wages
of death.
